Flamencos, I received this Duffy Madden for a workshop with Manuel Reyes in San Diego, perhaps you received it too. I guess this is a preliminary survey to find out what the general interest is. Venue and times have not been set. For further info and details contact Duffy at duffymadde@hotmail.com.
I would like to introduce myself as a simple lover of flamenco who has spent the last twelve years straight in Spain trying to understand a little more this marvelous art form that, without a doubt, we share and that unites us. I have to say that during this time I´ve had the opportunity to be close to some of the masters and outstanding representatives of flamenco. Without a doubt I´ve learnt many things from all of them however, from one in particular, I´ve acquired through his elegant expression and his sharp and logical style, the true dimension that flamenco holds. His name is Manuel Reyes. Surely, for many who us who make up the world of flamenco, his name is not unknown as an artist of great projection and a storied career but, unfortunately, for some he remains unknown. For this reason I´d very much like to introduce him to you along with his unique and special style that, in my humble opinion, is more than worth sharing with you all.
